Making false application.

Any person who makes or causes to be made any false statement in an application for a permit to hold a public fair or exposition or in an application for distribution of the amount paid for license taxes under the provisions of this chapter, with fraudulent intent of obtaining that permit or amount, and by that false statement obtains that permit or any part of that amount for himself or herself or for any firm or corporation in which that person has a financial interest, or for whom that person is acting, commits a misdemeanor of the first degree, punishable as provided in s. 775.082 or s. 775.083.
