11  Senator Hargrett moved the following amendment:

13         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 

14         On page 29, between lines 16 and 17,

15

16  insert:

17         Section 23.  Payday loans prohibited.--A person may not

18  engage in the business of making payday loans in this state.

19  Any person who violates this section commits a felony of the

20  third degree, punishable as provided in section 775.082,

21  section 775.083, or section 775.084, Florida Statutes.

28         On page 2, line 23, after the semicolon,

31         prohibiting making payday loans in this state;
