  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to the Florida Healthy Kids

  3         Corporation; eliminating the local-match

  4         requirement under the Healthy Kids Corporation

  5         under specified conditions; allowing voluntary

  6         contributions; providing an effective date.

  8  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

  9

10         Section 1.  Notwithstanding the provisions of section

11  624.91, Florida Statutes, local-matching funds are not

12  required by the Florida Healthy Kids Corporation if funds are

13  specifically appropriated as part of the General

14  Appropriations Act to replace the local-match contributions to

15  the Florida Healthy Kids program. The Florida Healthy Kids

16  Corporation may, however, accept voluntary contributions as

17  matching funds to provide coverage to additional children.

18         Section 2.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a

19  law.

22                          SENATE SUMMARY

23    Provides that local-matching funds are not required by
      the Florida Healthy Kids Corporation if replacement funds
24    are appropriated by the Legislature. Allows the
      corporation to accept voluntary contributions as matching
25    funds.
