18         Section 16.  Subsection (13) is added to section
19  400.9935, Florida Statutes, to read:
20         400.9935  Clinic responsibilities.--
21         (13)  The clinic shall display a sign in a conspicuous
22  location within the clinic readily visible to all patients
23  indicating that pursuant to s. 626.9892, the Department of
24  Financial Services may pay rewards of up to $25,000 to persons
25  providing information leading to the arrest and conviction of
26  persons committing crimes investigated by the Division of
27  Insurance Fraud arising from violations of s. 440.105, s.
28  624.15, s. 626.9541, s. 626.989, or s. 817.234. An authorized
29  employee of the Division of Insurance Fraud may make
30  unannounced inspections of clinics licensed pursuant to this
31  part as are necessary to determine that the clinic is in

A licensed clinic shall allow 2 full and complete access to the premises to such authorized 3 employee of the division who makes an inspection to determine 4 compliance with this subsection. 5 Section 17. Section 395.1053, Florida Statutes, is 6 created to read: 7 395.1053 Notice of reward to be posted.--Each hospital 8 shall display a sign in a conspicuous location within the 9 hospital readily visible to all patients indicating that, 10 pursuant to s. 626.9892, the Department of Financial Services 11 may pay rewards of up to $25,000 to persons providing 12 information leading to the arrest and conviction of persons 13 committing crimes investigated by the Division of Insurance 14 Fraud arising from violations of s. 440.105, s. 624.15, s. 15 626.9541, s. 626.989, or s. 817.234. An authorized employee of 16 the Division of Insurance Fraud may make unannounced 17 inspections of any hospital as are necessary to determine that 18 the hospital is in compliance with this section. A hospital 19 shall allow full and complete access to the premises to such 20 authorized employee of the division who makes an inspection to 21 determine compliance with this section. 22 Section 18. A physician-operated walk-in clinic that 23 operates with or without appointments and with extended hours 24 and that does not hold itself out to the public as an 25 emergency center shall display a sign in a conspicuous 26 location within the clinic readily visible to all patients 27 indicating that, pursuant to section 626.9892, Florida 28 Statutes, the Department of Financial Services may pay rewards 29 of up to $25,000 to persons providing information leading to 30 the arrest and conviction of persons committing crimes 31 investigated by the Division of Insurance Fraud arising from 2 7:19 AM 04/22/04 s1062c1c-13b3t
