  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to nurse registries; repealing

  3         s. 400.506(10)(c), F.S.; deleting provisions

  4         requiring that a registered nurse periodically

  5         visit the home of each patient who is attended

  6         by a certified nursing assistant or home health

  7         aide referred by a nurse registry, in order to

  8         assess the patient's medical condition and the

  9         quality of care that is being provided to the

10         patient, and deleting provisions requiring

11         specified reports and recordkeeping relating to

12         such assessments; providing an effective date.

14  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

15  

16         Section 1.  Paragraph (c) of subsection (10) of section

17  400.506, Florida Statutes, is repealed.

18         Section 2.  This act shall take effect July 1, 2004.

21                          SENATE SUMMARY

22    Deletes provisions requiring that a registered nurse
      periodically visit the home of each patient who is
23    attended by a certified nursing assistant or home health
      aide referred by a nurse registry, in order to assess the
24    patient's medical condition and the quality of care that
      is being provided to the patient, and deletes provisions
