11  The Committee on Judiciary (Webster) recommended the following
12  amendment:

14         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 
15         On page 1, line 31,

17  insert:  
18         Section 1.  Section 550.80, Florida Statutes, is
19  created to read:
20         550.80  Legislative intent.--The Legislature finds that
21  implementation of s. 23, Art. X of the State Constitution
22  provides an opportunity for the state to tax and regulate
23  gaming devices similar to those used without a compact by the
24  Miccosukee Indian Tribe of Florida and the Seminole Tribe of
25  Florida pursuant to 25 U.S.C. 2703, the Indian Gaming
26  Regulatory Act. It is the intent of the Legislature to
27  authorize only those mechanical, computerized, electronic, or
28  other technological aids that a federal agency or a court in a
29  final, nonappealable order has concluded expressly meet the
30  definition of a mechanical, computerized, electronic, or other
31  technological aid to Class II gaming pursuant to 25 U.S.C.
