11  Senator Saunders moved the following amendment:

13         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 
14         On page 6, between lines 3 and 4,
15  
16  insert:  
17         Section 6.  Subsection (3) of section 458.348, Florida
18  Statutes, is amended to read:
19         458.348  Formal supervisory relationships, standing
20  orders, and established protocols; notice; standards.--
21         (3)  PROTOCOLS REQUIRING DIRECT SUPERVISION.--All
22  protocols relating to electrolysis or electrology using laser
23  or light-based hair removal or reduction by persons other than
24  physicians licensed under this chapter or chapter 459 shall
25  require the person performing such service to be appropriately
26  trained and work only under the direct supervision and
27  responsibility of a physician licensed under this chapter or
28  chapter 459. A licensed advanced registered nurse practitioner
29  or physician assistant practicing under a protocol with a
30  physician licensed under chapter 458 or chapter 459 shall not
31  be required to obtain licensure as an electrologist in order

15         practicing under a protocol with a physician
16         licensed under ch. 458, F.S., or ch. 459, F.S.,
17         need not be a licensed electrologist to perform
18         certain hair removal procedures;
