12  amendment to amendment (853068):

14         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 
15         On page 2, between lines 13 and 14,
16  
17  insert:  
18         Section 2.  Subsection (4) is added to section
19  1003.455, Florida Statutes, to read:
20         1003.455  Physical education; assessment.--
21         (4)  Each district school board shall, no later than
22  August 1, 2005, appoint from current staff a physical
23  education coordinator to implement any physical education
24  program developed by the district school board resulting from
25  the physical education assessment completed according to this
26  section.

 8         An act relating to public K-12 educational
 9         instruction; creating s. 1003.456, F.S.;
10         providing legislative intent with respect to
11         maintaining elective programs in the performing
12         and fine arts; requiring each district school
13         board to develop a performing and fine arts
14         program; requiring that the school boards adopt
15         written policies for providing time and access
16         to the performing and fine arts for students in
17         prekindergarten through grade 12 and provide a
18         copy to the Department of Education by a
19         specified date; requiring reports to the
20         department; amending s. 1003.455, F.S.;
21         requiring each district school board to employ
22         a physical education coordinator to implement
23         physical education programs developed by the
24         school board; providing an effective date.
