11  Senator Haridopolos moved the following amendment:

13         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 
14         On page 80, between lines 28 and 29,
15  
16  insert:  
17         Section 47.  Section 514.075, Florida Statutes, is
18  amended to read:
19         514.075  Public pool service technician;
20  certification.--The department shall may require that a public
21  pool, as defined in s. 514.011, be serviced by a person
22  certified as a pool service technician.  To be certified, an
23  individual must demonstrate knowledge of public pools which
24  includes, but is not limited to:  pool cleaning; general pool
25  maintenance; source of the water supply; bacteriological,
26  chemical, and physical quality of water; and water
27  purification, testing, treatment, and disinfection procedures.
28  The department shall may, by rule, establish the requirement
29  for the certification course and course approval.  The
30  department shall deem certified any individual who is
31  certified by a course of national recognition or any person

 1  licensed under s. 489.105(3)(j), (k), or (l). This requirement
 2  does not apply to a person, or the direct employee of a
 3  person, permitted as a public pool operator under s. 514.031.

16         of rules; requiring a public pool to be
17         serviced by a certified pool service
18         technician;
