  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to postdisaster planning;

  3         creating s. 252.357, F.S.; providing for

  4         postdisaster planning for restoration of

  5         electric power; requiring priority for nursing

  6         homes and residential care facilities;

  7         providing an effective date.

  9  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

10  

11         Section 1.  Section 252.357, Florida Statutes, is

12  created to read:

13         252.357  Postdisaster planning for restoration of

14  electric power.--Any postdisaster plan for restoration of

15  electric power which prioritizes hospitals or health care

16  facilities shall include priority for nursing homes and

17  residential care facilities at the same priority level as

18  hospitals within the same service area.

19         Section 2.  This act shall take effect July 1, 2005.
