  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to the mosquito control

  3         district of Pinellas County; repealing chapter

  4         18792, Laws of Florida, 1937, and chapter

  5         67-1920, Laws of Florida; abolishing the

  6         mosquito control district of Pinellas County;

  7         transferring all assets and liabilities of the

  8         district to the county; providing an effective

  9         date.

11  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

12  

13         Section 1.  Special laws relating to the mosquito

14  control district of Pinellas County, including chapter 18792,

15  Laws of Florida, 1937, and chapter 67-1920, Laws of Florida,

16  are repealed and shall become ordinances of Pinellas County as

17  provided in section 5.02(a) of the Pinellas County Charter.

18         Section 2.  The mosquito control district of Pinellas

19  County is abolished. All assets and liabilities of the

20  district are transferred to Pinellas County, and Pinellas

21  County shall assume all the district's obligations.

22         Section 3.  This act shall take effect January 1, 2007.
