       The Committee on Criminal Justice (Wilson) recommended the
       following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment to Amendment (666560) 
    2  
    3         Delete line 593
    4  and insert:
    5  purpose of holding a competency hearing, unless the defendant
    6  can be transported directly to the competency hearing without
    7  first returning to a county jail. Whenever feasible, defendants
    8  should be released to community placement without returning to a
    9  county jail.
