       The Committee on Health Regulation (Jones) recommended the
       following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
    2  
    3         Delete line 99
    4  and insert:
    5  optometric practice. The oral ocular pharmaceutical agents that
    6  may be placed on the formulary for use by a certified
    7  optometrist are limited to the following categories: analgesics;
    8  antibacterial; anti-inflammatory; anti-allergy; antiviral; and
    9  anti-glaucoma. Oral anti-glaucoma osmotic agents may be placed
   10  on the formulary for use by a certified optometrist only in the
   11  case of a patient emergency. Oral antifungal agents may not be
   12  placed on the formulary for use by a certified optometrist. The
   13  board shall establish, add to, delete
   14

   16         And the title is amended as follows:
   17         Delete line 15
   18  and insert:
   19         diagnose ocular disease or disorders; authorizing the
   20         placement of certain oral ocular pharmaceutical agents
   21         on the formulary for use by a certified optometrist;
   22         providing that oral anti-glaucoma osmotic agents may
   23         be placed on the formulary for use by a certified
   24         optometrist only under certain circumstances;
   25         prohibiting the placement of oral antifungal agents on
   26         the formulary; requiring the
