CS/SB 2396: Persons with Disabilities [SPSC]

GENERAL BILL by Governmental Oversight and Accountability ; Fasano

Persons with Disabilities [SPSC]; Provides that persons with developmental disabilities have a right to be free from abuse, regardless of the setting, and from negligence. Provides that the operator of a public lodging or food establishment may not discriminate on the basis of disability. Creates the "Floridians with Disabilities Act." Adopts the federal Americans with Disabilities Act into state law and makes it part of the Florida Civil Rights Act of 1992, etc.
