SB 1858: Public Records/Abortion

PUBLIC RECORDS/GENERAL BILL by Storms

Public Records/Abortion; Creates an exemption from public records requirements for specified information that identifies a woman upon whom an abortion was performed or attempted. Provides for redaction. Provides for future legislative review and repeal of the exemption under the Open Government Sunset Review Act. Provides that such identifying information in a criminal or civil proceeding and part of the court file is confidential and exempt from public records requirements. Provides a statement of necessity.
