GENERAL BILL by Community Affairs ; Commerce and Tourism ; Wise

Household Moving Services; Provides for the biennial renewal of mover and moving broker registrations. Prohibits a mover or moving broker from conducting business without being registered with the department. Preempts local ordinances and regulations except in certain counties. Restricts the levy or collection of local registration fees and taxes of movers and moving brokers. Provides for local registration and bonding, etc.
