       The Committee on Children, Families, and Elder Affairs (Detert)
       recommended the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)

    3         Between lines 159 and 160
    4  insert:
    5  
    6         Section 4. Present subsection (10) of section 409.1451,
    7  Florida Statutes, is renumbered as subsection (11), and a new
    8  subsection (10) is added to that section, to read:
    9         409.1451 Independent living transition services.—
   10         (10) ADOPTION COUSELING.—If a young adult who is living in
   11  licensed foster care or in subsidized independent living at the
   12  time of his or her 18th birthday is pregnant or is the mother or
   13  father of a child, the young adult shall be counseled and
   14  advised on the viable option of adoption.

   19         Delete line 24
   20  and insert:
   21  
   22         involuntary court-sanctioned residential commitment;
   23         amending s. 409.1451, F.S.; requiring that a young
   24         adult who is living in licensed foster care or
   25         subsidized independent living at the time of his or
   26         her 18th birthday and who is pregnant or is the mother
   27         or father of a child be counseled and advised on the
   28         viable option of adoption;
