    1                        A bill to be entitled                      
    2         An act relating to ownership of state lands;
    3         transferring certain state property lying within the
    4         City of West Park, Broward County, to be used by the
    5         city for the purposes of open space and public
    6         recreation needs; declaring such use a public purpose;
    7         providing for reversion of the property to the state
    8         if used for any other purpose; providing an effective
    9         date.

   11  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
   12  
   13         Section 1. The State of Florida transfers ownership
   14  interest of the state’s portion of the approximately 19.2 acres
   15  of the following described property, commonly known as “McTyre
   16  Park,” to the City of West Park in Broward County. The property
   17  shall be used by the City of West Park for the purposes of open
   18  space and public recreation needs. The boundaries of the
   19  property transferred by this act are as follows:

   21         A portion of the Northwest one-quarter (NW 1/4) and a
   22         portion of the Southwest one-quarter (SW 1/4), all in
   23         Section 30, Township 51 South, Range 42 East, Broward
   24         County, Florida, described as follows:

   26         BEGINNING at the West one-quarter (W 1/4) corner of
   27         said Section 30, said point also being located on an
   28         Easterly municipal boundary of the City of West Park
   29         as established by Chapter 2004-454, Laws of Florida
   30         and the Westerly municipal boundary of the Town of
   31         Pembroke Park as established by Chapter 70-878, Laws
   32         of Florida;

   34         THENCE Easterly on the North line of the Northwest
   35         one-quarter (NW 1/4) of said Southwest one-quarter (SW
   36         1/4) also being the South line of the Southwest one
   37         quarter (SW 1/4) of said Northwest one-quarter (NW
   38         1/4) to a point on the East right-of-way line of
   39         Southwest 54th Avenue as described in Official Records
   40         Book 3801, Page 872 of the Public Records of Broward
   41         County Florida;

   43         THENCE Northerly on said East right-of-way line of
   44         Southwest 54th Avenue to the beginning of a tangent
   45         curve to the right;

   47         THENCE Northeasterly continuing on said East right-of
   48         way line of Southwest 54th Avenue and on the arc of
   49         said curve to right having a radius of 25.00 feet to a
   50         point of tangency on the South right-of-way line of
   51         Southwest 33rd Street as described in said Official
   52         Records Book 3801, Page 872 of the Public Records of
   53         Broward County Florida;

   55         THENCE Easterly on said South right-of-way line of
   56         Southwest 33rd Street and its Easterly extension to a
   57         point on the West right-of-way line of Southwest 52nd
   58         Avenue, said line lying 15.00 feet West of and
   59         parallel with the occupied East line of the Southwest
   60         one-quarter (SW 1/4) of the Northwest one-quarter (NW
   61         1/4) of said Section 30, as depicted on the map of
   62         HOLLYWOOD RIDGE FARMS, as recorded in Miscellaneous
   63         Map Book 2, Page 16 of the Public Records of Broward
   64         County, Florida and as shown on the plat of TOWN LAKE
   65         HOMES, according to the plat thereof as recorded in
   66         Plat Book 68, Page 16 of the Public Records of Broward
   67         County, Florida;

   69         THENCE Southerly on said West right-of-way of
   70         Southwest 52nd Avenue, on the last described parallel
   71         line and on a line 15.00 feet West of and parallel
   72         with the occupied East line of the Northwest one
   73         quarter (NW 1/4) of the Southwest one-quarter (SW 1/4)
   74         of said Section 30, as shown on said recorded map of
   75         HOLLYWOOD RIDGE FARMS, to a point on the North line of
   76         the South one-half (S 1/2) of said Northwest one
   77         quarter (NW 1/4) of the Southwest one-quarter (SW 1/4)
   78         of Section 30 as occupied, same being the North line
   79         of Lot 8 of said recorded map of HOLLYWOOD RIDGE
   80         FARMS;

   82         THENCE Westerly on said North line of the South one
   83         half (S 1/2) of said Northwest one-quarter (NW 1/4) of
   84         the Southwest one-quarter (SW 1/4) of Section 30 and
   85         on said North line of Lot 8 of the recorded map of
   86         HOLLYWOOD RIDGE FARMS, to the intersection with the
   87         West line of said Section 30 also being said Easterly
   88         municipal boundary of the City of West Park as
   89         established by Chapter 2004-454, Laws of Florida and
   90         the Westerly municipal boundary of the Town of
   91         Pembroke Park as established by Chapter 70-878, Laws
   92         of Florida;

   94         THENCE Northerly on said West line of Section 30 and
   95         the Easterly municipal boundary of the City of West
   96         Park as established by Chapter 2004-454, Laws of
   97         Florida and the Westerly municipal boundary of the
   98         Town of Pembroke Park as established by Chapter 70
   99         878, Laws of Florida to the POINT OF BEGINNING;

  101         Section 2. The use of the property described in section 1
  102  by the City of West Park for the purposes of open space and
  103  public recreation needs is declared to be for a proper public
  104  purpose. If the property is used for any other purpose, it shall
  105  revert to the state.
  106         Section 3. This act shall take effect July 1, 2012.
