Senator Diaz de la Portilla moved the following:
1 Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
3 Delete lines 1315 - 1329
4 and insert:
(c) Each notice required by this subsection must be
6 delivered to the insurer by United States certified or
7 registered mail, return receipt requested, or by electronic
8 mail. Such postal costs shall be reimbursed by the insurer if so
9 requested by the claimant in the notice, when the insurer pays
10 the claim. Such notice must be sent to the person and address
11 specified by the insurer for the purposes of receiving notices
12 under this subsection. Each licensed insurer, whether domestic,
13 foreign, or alien, shall file with the office designation of the
14 name and physical and e-mail address of the designated person to
15 whom notices must pursuant to this subsection shall be sent
16 which the office shall make available on its Internet website.
17 The name and address on file with the office pursuant to s.
18 624.422 are shall be deemed the authorized representative to
19 accept notice pursuant to this subsection if in the event no
20 other designation has been made.
