A bill to be entitled
2An act relating to the Florida Healthy Kids
3Corporation; amending s. 624.91, F.S.; revising the
4membership of the board of directors of the Florida
5Healthy Kids Corporation to include a member nominated
6by the Florida Dental Association and appointed by the
7Governor; providing an effective date.

9Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

11     Section 1.  Paragraph (a) of subsection (6) of section
12624.91, Florida Statutes, is amended to read:
13     624.91  The Florida Healthy Kids Corporation Act.-
14     (6)  BOARD OF DIRECTORS.-
15     (a)  The Florida Healthy Kids Corporation shall operate
16subject to the supervision and approval of a board of directors
17chaired by the Chief Financial Officer or her or his designee,
18and composed of 12 11 other members selected for 3-year terms of
19office as follows:
20     1.  The Secretary of Health Care Administration, or his or
21her designee.
22     2.  One member appointed by the Commissioner of Education
23from the Office of School Health Programs of the Florida
24Department of Education.
25     3.  One member appointed by the Chief Financial Officer
26from among three members nominated by the Florida Pediatric
27Society.
28     4.  One member, appointed by the Governor, who represents
29the Children's Medical Services Program.
30     5.  One member appointed by the Chief Financial Officer
31from among three members nominated by the Florida Hospital
32Association.
33     6.  One member, appointed by the Governor, who is an expert
34on child health policy.
35     7.  One member, appointed by the Chief Financial Officer,
36from among three members nominated by the Florida Academy of
37Family Physicians.
38     8.  One member, appointed by the Governor, who represents
39the state Medicaid program.
40     9.  One member, appointed by the Chief Financial Officer,
41from among three members nominated by the Florida Association of
42Counties.
43     10.  The State Health Officer or her or his designee.
44     11.  The Secretary of Children and Family Services, or his
45or her designee.
46     12.  One member, appointed by the Governor, from among
47three members nominated by the Florida Dental Association.
48     Section 2.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a law.
