       Senator Bogdanoff moved the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment to Amendment (802968) (with title
    2  amendment)
    3  
    4         Between lines 756 and 757
    5  insert:
    6         Section 29. Subsection (1) of section 197.332, Florida
    7  Statutes, is amended to read:
    8         197.332 Duties of tax collectors; branch offices.—
    9         (1) The tax collector has the authority and obligation to
   10  collect all taxes as shown on the tax roll by the date of
   11  delinquency or to collect delinquent taxes, interest, and costs,
   12  by sale of tax certificates on real property and by seizure and
   13  sale of personal property. In exercising his or her power their
   14  powers to contract, the tax collector may perform such duties by
   15  use of contracted services or products or by electronic means.
   16  The use of contracted services, products, or vendors does not
   17  diminish the responsibility or liability of the tax collector to
   18  perform such duties pursuant to law. The tax collector may
   19  collect the cost of contracted services, including the
   20  electronic processing of tax deed applications. The tax
   21  collector may collect and reasonable attorney attorney’s fees
   22  and court costs in actions on proceedings to recover delinquent
   23  taxes, interest, and costs.
