HB 865: Certification of Assisted Living Facility Administrators

Certification of Assisted Living Facility Administrators; Requires DEA to approve one or more third-party credentialing entities to develop & administer certification program for assisted living facility administrators; establishes standards for third-party credentialing entity compliance & department approval within specified timeframe; requires administrators to be certified; provides exemption; provides fine; provides for credentialing entity to issue certification to certain established administrators; removes responsibilities of AHCA for determining need for additional training & education; repeals provisions relating to competency tests & trainer qualifications, effective July 1, 2014, revises training requirements for individuals employed by facilities that provide special care for residents with Alzheimer's disease and other related disorders.
