       Senator Bean moved the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment to Amendment (218538) (with title
    2  amendment)

    5  insert:
    6         Section 29. Paragraph (aaaa) is added to subsection (4) of
    7  section 320.08056, Florida Statutes, to read:
    8         320.08056 Specialty license plates.—
    9         (4) The following license plate annual use fees shall be
   10  collected for the appropriate specialty license plates:
   11         (aaaa) American Legion license plate, $25.
   12         Section 30. Subsection (79) is added to section 320.08058,
   13  Florida Statutes, to read:
   14         320.08058 Specialty license plates.—
   15         (79) AMERICAN LEGION LICENSE PLATES.—
   16         (a) Notwithstanding s. 320.08053(1) and s. 45, chapter
   17  2008-176, Laws of Florida, as amended by s. 21, chapter 2010
   18  223, Laws of Florida, the department shall develop an American
   19  Legion license plate as provided in s. 320.08053(2) and (3) and
   20  this section. The plate must bear the colors and design approved
   21  by the department. The word “Florida” must appear at the top of
   22  the plate, and the words “American Legion” must appear at the
   23  bottom of the plate.
   24         (b) The department shall retain all annual use fees from
   25  the sale of such plates until all startup costs for developing
   26  and issuing the plates have been recovered. Thereafter, the
   27  annual use fees from the sale of the plate shall be distributed
   28  to the American Legion Department of Florida, which may use up
   29  to 10 percent of such fees for administrative costs and
   30  marketing of the plate. The balance of the fees shall be used by
   31  the American Legion Department of Florida to support Florida
   32  American Legion Boys State, the American Legion Auxiliary Girls
   33  State, the American Legion Department of Florida Veteran Affairs
   34  and Rehabilitation program, the Gilchrist Endowment Fund, and
   35  other appropriate activities.
