       Senator Brandes moved the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment to Amendment (420294) (with title
    2  amendment)
    3  
    4         Delete line 1526
    5  and insert:
    6         Section 21. Effective upon becoming a law, subsection (8)
    7  of section 1012.33, Florida Statutes, is amended to read:
    8         1012.33 Contracts with instructional staff, supervisors,
    9  and school principals.—
   10         (8) Notwithstanding any other provision of law, a retired
   11  member may interrupt retirement and be reemployed in any public
   12  school as instructional personnel under a 1-year probationary
   13  contract as defined in s. 1012.335(1). If the retiree
   14  successfully completes the probationary contract, the district
   15  school board may reemploy the retiree under an annual contract
   16  as defined in s. 1012.335(1). The retiree is not eligible for a
   17  professional service contract A member reemployed by the same
   18  district from which he or she retired may be employed on a
   19  probationary contractual basis as provided in subsection (1).
   20         Section 22. Except as otherwise expressly provided in this
   21  act and except for this section, which shall take effect upon
   22  this act becoming law, this act shall take effect July 1, 2016.

   26         Delete lines 1694 - 1695
   27  and insert:
   28         F.S.; conforming cross-references; amending s.
   29         1012.33, F.S.; revising provisions relating to
   30         reemployment of retirees as instructional personal on
   31         a contract basis; providing that retirees are not
   32         eligible for a professional service contract;
   33         providing effective dates.
