       Senator Garcia moved the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment to Amendment (725590) (with title
    2  amendment)

    4         Between lines 240 and 241
    5  insert:
    6         Section 4. Notwithstanding any law or local ordinance to
    7  the contrary, nonemergency transportation services under any
    8  Medicaid program administered by the state or its contracted
    9  providers may be provided, subject only to Medicaid laws, rules,
   10  and contract terms, by entities, including, but not limited to,
   11  commercial airlines; ground ambulances subcontracted for use as
   12  stretcher vans; ground and air ambulances; mass transit and
   13  public transportation systems; medical vehicles, including
   14  wheelchairs or stretcher vans; multiload passenger vans; private
   15  vehicles; private, nonprofit agencies; and taxis. A political
   16  subdivision may not limit or prescribe the types of vehicles
   17  that may be used for nonemergency medical transportation covered
   18  by any federally funded program or commercial health coverage
   19  product.
