(1) For the 2017-2018 fiscal year, the recurring 7 sum of $440,008,009 from the General Revenue Fund and the 8 nonrecurring sum of $149,074,378 from the General Revenue Fund 9 are appropriated to the Department of Education in the Aid to 10 Local Governments Grants and Aids – Florida Educational Finance 11 Program category as a supplement to funds provided for the 12 Florida Education Finance Program in Specific Appropriation 91 13 of chapter 2017-70, Laws of Florida. 14 (2) From the funds provided in subsection (1), the base 15 student allocation shall increase by $193.71 and the Federally 16 Connected Student Supplement shall increase by $232,839. 17 (3) The Total Required Local Effort designated in Specific 18 Appropriation 91 of chapter 2017-70, Laws of Florida, shall 19 decrease by $120,706. 20 Section 2. Section 71 of Committee Substitute for House 21 Bill 7069, First Engrossed, enacted in the 2017 Regular Session, 22 is amended to read: 23 Section 71. For the 2017-2018 fiscal year, $40 million 24$413,950,000in recurring funds from the General Revenue Fund 25 and $5 million in nonrecurring funds from the General Revenue 26 Fund are appropriated to the Department of Education to 27 implement this act. Of these funds,$233,950,000 shall be used28to implement theBest and Brightest Teacher Scholarship Program29pursuant to s.1012.731, Florida Statutes, and the Best and30Brightest PrincipalScholarship Program pursuant to s. 1012.732,31Florida Statutes,$30 million shall be used to implement the 32 Gardiner Scholarship Program pursuant to s. 1002.385, Florida 33 Statutes, and $10 million in recurring funds and $5 million in 34 nonrecurring funds shall be used to implement the provisions of 35 this act relating to statewide student assessments.The36remaining funds shall beused to implement the remaining37provisions of this act, exceptfor the implementation of the38Early Childhood Music EducationIncentive Pilot Program, as39created by s. 1003.481, FloridaStatutes, the Committee on Early40Grade Success, as created bysection 65 of this act, and the41Shared Use Task Force, ascreated by section 67 of this act.42 43 ================= T I T L E A M E N D M E N T ================ 44 And the title is amended as follows: 45 Delete line 32 46 and insert: 47 Education Finance Program; amending s. 71, CS for SB 48 7069, 1st Eng., enacted in the 2017 Regular Session; 49 revising appropriations to the Department of Education 50 for implementation of CS for HB 7069; providing 51 effective dates.
