    1                        A bill to be entitled                      
    2         An act relating to wastewater treatment facilities;
    3         amending s. 403.086, F.S.; prohibiting the
    4         decommission of a wastewater treatment facility until
    5         certain conditions are met; providing an effective
    6         date.

    8  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
    9  
   10         Section 1. Paragraph (d) is added to subsection (1) of
   11  section 403.086, Florida Statutes, to read:
   12         403.086 Sewage disposal facilities; advanced and secondary
   13  waste treatment.—
   14         (1)
   15         (d) Notwithstanding any other provision of law, a
   16  wastewater treatment facility may not be decommissioned until a
   17  replacement facility of equal or greater capacity is in service
   18  for a period of 2 years.
   19         Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2018.
