       The Committee on Rules (Stargel) recommended the following:
       
    1         Senate Substitute for Amendment (232476) 
    2  
    3         Delete lines 177 - 188
    4  and insert:
    5         (c)Procedures, adopted pursuant to s. 1006.28(2)(a)2., to
    6  allow a parent to object to instructional materials and other
    7  materials used in the classroom. Such objections may be based on
    8  beliefs regarding morality, sex, and religion or the belief that
    9  such materials are harmful. For purposes of this section, the
   10  term “instructional materials” has the same meaning as in s.
   11  1006.29(2) and may include other materials used in the
   12  classroom, including workbooks and worksheets, handouts,
   13  software, applications, and any digital media made available to
   14  students.
