       Senator Brandes moved the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
    2  
    3         Between lines 212 and 213
    4  insert:
    5         Section 3. The Board of Governors of the State University
    6  System shall assess the impact of authorizing state universities
    7  that failed to meet enrollment goals during the prior school
    8  year to extend the out-of-state fees waiver under s.
    9  1009.26(18), Florida Statutes, to a grandchild of any Florida
   10  resident regardless of whether such resident has resided in
   11  Florida for at least 5 years or is a veteran. The assessment
   12  must include, but need not be limited to, the potential impact
   13  on enrollment and the financial impact of such an extension. The
   14  Board of Governors shall release the results of the assessment
   15  to the Governor, the President of the Senate, and the Speaker of
   16  the House of Representatives by July 1, 2023.

   21  insert:
   22         requiring the Board of Governors to conduct an
   23         assessment; providing the requirements of the
   24         assessment; requiring the Board of Governors to
   25         release the results of the assessment by a specified
   26         date to the Governor and the Legislature;
