       The Committee on Appropriations (Harrell) recommended the
       following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
    2  
    3         Delete lines 333 - 343
    4  and insert:
    5         7.Policies of the school district must require that in a
    6  student crisis situation, school or law enforcement personnel
    7  must contact a mental health professional who may initiate an
    8  involuntary examination pursuant to s.394.463, before initiating
    9  an involuntary examination pursuant to s. 394.463. Such contact
   10  may be in person, or using telehealth as defined in s. 456.47.
   11  The mental health professional may be available to the school
   12  district either by contracts or interagency agreements with one
   13  or more local community behavioral health providers or the local
   14  mobile response team or be a direct or contracted school
   15  district employee.

   18  And the title is amended as follows:
   19         Delete lines 30 - 32
   20  and insert:
   21         include certain strategies; requiring that certain
   22         plans include policies for student crisis situations;
   23         specifying the requirements for such policies;
   24         providing an
