       Senator Book moved the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)

    3         Between lines 1721 and 1722
    4  insert:
    5         Section 31. Subsection (3) is added to section 316.605,
    6  Florida Statutes, to read:
    7         316.605 Licensing of vehicles.—
    8         (3) The department shall assign a distinctive, fluorescent
    9  green license plate to vehicles owned, leased, or operated by
   10  persons who are designated as sexual predators under s. 775.21
   11  or are subject to registration as sexual offenders under s.
   12  943.0435 or s. 944.607, or who have a similar designation or are
   13  subject to a similar registration under the laws of another
   14  jurisdiction. Such person must display the distinctive,
   15  fluorescent green license plate on any vehicle owned, leased, or
   16  operated by him or her as required in subsection (1), and may
   17  not disguise or obscure the plate.
   18         Section 32. Effective January 1, 2024, subsection (3) of
   19  section 322.141, Florida Statutes, is amended to read:
   20         322.141 Color or markings of certain licenses or
   21  identification cards.—
   22         (3) All licenses for the operation of motor vehicles or
   23  identification cards originally issued or reissued by the
   24  department to persons who are designated as sexual predators
   25  under s. 775.21 or subject to registration as sexual offenders
   26  under s. 943.0435 or s. 944.607, or who have a similar
   27  designation or are subject to a similar registration under the
   28  laws of another jurisdiction, must shall have on the front of
   29  the license or identification card, in a distinctive format and
   30  printed in the color red, all of the following information:
   31         (a) For a person designated as a sexual predator under s.
   32  775.21 or who has a similar designation under the laws of
   33  another jurisdiction, the marking “SEXUAL PREDATOR.”
   34         (b) For a person subject to registration as a sexual
   35  offender under s. 943.0435 or s. 944.607, or subject to a
   36  similar registration under the laws of another jurisdiction, the
   37  marking “943.0435, F.S.”

   42  insert:
   43         amending s. 316.605, F.S.; requiring the department to
   44         assign a certain license plate to persons designated
   45         as sexual predators; requiring such persons to display
   46         the license plate; prohibiting such persons from
   47         disguising or obscuring the license plate; amending s.
   48         322.141, F.S.; requiring that certain information on
   49         the driver license or identification card of a sexual
   50         offender or sexual predator be printed in red;
