    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)

    3         Delete line 345
    4  and insert:
    5         (15) A violation of this section by a transgender or non
    6  binary person may not be the basis of a defense by a person who
    7  is charged with a criminal act against such transgender or non
    8  binary person or be used to justify the conduct of a person who
    9  has committed a criminal offense against such transgender or
   10  non-binary person.
   11         (16) By January 1, 2024, the Department of Corrections, the
