- The first letter indicates the committee to which the plan initially was submitted: "S" for Senate Reapportionment Committee and "H" for House Redistricting Committee.
- The next 3 characters indicate who submitted the plan.
- Plans submitted by Senators: "0" and 2-digit district number.
- Plans submitted by Representatives: 3-digit district number.
- Plans submitted by Senate or House committee: "000."
- Plans submitted by members of the public: "PUB."
- The next letter indicates the plan type: "C" for Congressional, "S" for State Senate, and "H" for State House of Representatives.
- The last 4 digits are a sequential number for plans. Public plans start with "0001." Senator and Senate Committee plans get even numbers starting with "9002." Representative and House Committee plans get odd numbers starting with "9001."
- Plan Type - whether the plan contains Congressional, State House, or State Senate districts.
- Date - the date the plan files were posted to the website.
- Districts Assigned - the number of districts contained in the plan.
- Population Deviation - districts must be as nearly equal in population as is practicable. The population deviation shows the total population difference among districts as a number (percentage).
- Contiguous and Complete - whether each district is a single shape without holes or breaks, and the entire state is divided into districts. Partial plans are accepted.
By default the Submitted By field will perform a substring search by wrapping the entered string in asterisk. Example: *sen*
The Submitted By field also supports the following advanced features:
- Stemming - place an asterisk (*) at the end of the string to search suffixes or unknown values. Example: sen*
- Single wildcard - place a question mark (?) anywhere in the string to search for an unknown value. Example: h?n
- Multiple wildcards - use a combination of asterisk (*) and a question mark (?) to search. Example: *h?n*
- Exact comma separated values - Use a comma to separate a list of values to search for. Only exact combinations will be returned. Example:Senator Gaetz, Senator Joyner
