  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to the use of fuel taxes;

  3         authorizing the transfer and use of legally

  4         restricted fuel taxes by counties having a

  5         population of 30,000 or less for unrestricted

  6         purposes for all fiscal years prior to and

  7         through fiscal year 1997-1998; providing an

  8         effective date.

10  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

12         Section 1.  Any county that has a population of 30,000

13  or less on February 1, 1997, is authorized to transfer and use

14  legally restricted fuel taxes for unrestricted purposes for

15  all fiscal years prior to and through 1997-1998.

16         Section 2.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a

17  law.
