  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to community colleges; creating

  3         a pilot program to provide limited bachelor's

  4         degree programs at South Florida Community

  5         College, Miami-Dade Community College, and

  6         Florida Community College; providing an

  7         effective date.

  9  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

11         Section 1.  There is created a pilot program to provide

12  limited bachelor's degree programs in nursing, teacher

13  training, and applied technology at South Florida Community

14  College, Miami-Dade Community College, and Florida Community

15  College.

16         Section 2.  This act shall take effect July 1, 1998.

18          STATEMENT OF SUBSTANTIAL CHANGES CONTAINED IN
                       COMMITTEE SUBSTITUTE FOR
19                        SB's 1110 and 2270

20

21  The Committee Substitute would authorize limited baccalaureate
    degrees in nursing, teacher education, and applied technology
22  at Miami-Dade Community College, South Florida Community
    College, and Florida Community College at Jacksonville.
