11 Senator Horne moved the following amendment:

13 Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
14 On page 54, between lines 13 and 14,
15
16 insert:
17 Section 24. (1) The Commissioner of Education and the
18 Executive Director of the State Board of Community Colleges
19 shall continue to investigate issues related to implementation
20 of this act, especially those issues associated with:
21 (a) The adoption of common reporting formats and
22 common timeframes associated with the Workforce Development
23 Information System;
24 (b) The expansion of electronic transcript systems;
25 (c) The implementation of occupational completion
26 points and literacy completion points;
27 (d) The consolidation of state and federal workforce
28 development funds into a common administrative entity; and
29 (e) The elimination of duplicative reporting
30 requirements.
31 (2) The commissioner and director shall report to the

1 Executive Office of the Governor and the Legislature before
2 December 31, 1998, on the progress of the implementation of
3 the provisions of this act and this section. The report must
4 indicate recommendations for changes in law or policy.
