15         After the enacting clause

17  insert:  Section 83.475, Florida Statutes, is created to read:

18         83.475  Required provisions in rental agreements.--All

19  rental agreements shall include a statement either printed or

20  clearly stamped on the agreement in substantially the

21  following form:

22         PURSUANT TO s. 83.565, THE TENANT SHALL HAVE THE RIGHT

23  AFTER RECEIPT BY THE LANDLORD OF 7-DAYS WRITTEN NOTICE SENT BY

24  CERTIFIED MAIL, IN THE FORM AS REQUIRED BY s. 83.565, TO MAKE

25  CERTAIN REPAIRS OF AN EMERGENCY NATURE IF THE LANDLORD FAILS

26  TO MATERIALLY COMPLY WITH s. 83.565 WITHIN THE 7-DAYS. THE

27  TENANT MAY DEDUCT THE COST OF REPAIR ONLY UP TO $100 FROM THE

28  FOLLOWING MONTHS RENT. REPAIRS MUST BE MADE BY PERSONS AS

29  DESIGNATED IN s. 83.565 ONLY AND MAY NOT BE MADE BY THE

30  TENANT. THE TENANT SHOULD READ s. 83.565 BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO

31  HAVE ANY REPAIRS MADE.
