  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to the State Athletic

  3         Commission; amending s. 548.003, F.S.;

  4         providing that the location of the commission

  5         shall be in Tampa; providing an effective date.

  7  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

  8

  9         Section 1.  Subsection (3) of section 548.003, Florida

10  Statutes, is amended to read:

11         548.003  State Athletic Commission.--

12         (3)  The commission shall maintain an office in Tampa

13  Tallahassee and any necessary branch offices.  At the first

14  meeting of the commission after June 1 of each year, the

15  commission shall select a chairman from among its membership.

16  Three members shall constitute a quorum and the concurrence of

17  at least three members is necessary for official commission

18  action.

19         Section 2.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a

20  law.
