  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to electric utilities;

  3         expressing legislative intent relating to

  4         chapters 366 and 403, Florida Statutes;

  5         providing an effective date.

  7  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

  8

  9         Section 1.  It is the intent of the Legislature to

10  ensure the provision of adequate and reliable electric energy

11  at affordable rates with minimal adverse impact upon human

12  health and the environment pursuant to chapters 366 and 403,

13  Florida Statutes.

14         Section 2.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a

15  law.
