  2         An act relating to license plates; amending ss.

  3         320.08056, 320.08058, F.S.; creating a Barry

  4         University license plate; providing for the

  5         distribution of annual use fees received from

  6         the sale of such plates; providing a contingent

  7         effective date.

  9  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

11         Section 1.  Paragraph (t) is added to subsection (4) of

12  section 320.08056, Florida Statutes, to read:

13         320.08056  Specialty license plates.--

14         (4)  The following license plate annual use fees shall

15  be collected for the appropriate specialty license plates:

16         (t)  Barry University license plate, $25.

17         Section 2.  Subsection (20) is added to section

18  320.08058, Florida Statutes, to read:

19         320.08058  Specialty license plates.--

20         (20)  BARRY UNIVERSITY LICENSE PLATES.--

21         (a)  The department shall develop a Barry University

22  license plate as provided in this section. The word "Florida"

23  must appear at the top of the plate, and the words "Barry

24  University" must appear at the bottom of the plate.

25         (b)  The annual use fees shall be distributed to the

26  Barry University Alumni Endowed Scholarship Fund.

27         Section 3.  This act shall take effect July 1, 1998.
