13         Senate Amendment 

14         On page 7, lines 27-30, delete those lines

15

16  and insert:  The fee and payment schedule in this section is

17  the exclusive means of compensating a court-appointed attorney

18  who represents a capital defendant. Any attorney appointed to

19  represent a capital defendant under s. 27.710 shall be paid by

20  state funds appropriated by general law, except, when

21  appropriate, a court appointed
