  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to rulemaking authority of the

  3         Department of Environmental Protection (RAB);

  4         creating s. 403.0623, F.S.; authorizing the

  5         adoption of rules on quality-assurance

  6         requirements for environmental data submitted

  7         to the department; providing an effective date.

  9  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

11         Section 1.  Section 403.0623, Florida Statutes, is

12  created to read:

13         403.0623  Environmental data; quality assurance.--The

14  department must establish, by rule, appropriate quality

15  assurance requirements for environmental data submitted to the

16  department and the criteria by which environmental data may be

17  rejected by the department. Such rules may be in addition to

18  any laboratory certification provisions under ss. 403.0625 and

19  403.863.

20         Section 2.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a

21  law.
