  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to motor vehicle liability;

  3         repealing s. 627.737, F.S., relating to

  4         exemption from tort liability for certain

  5         owners, registrants, operators, or occupants of

  6         motor vehicles; providing an effective date.

  8  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

  9

10         Section 1.  Section 627.737, Florida Statutes, as

11  amended by section 363 of chapter 97-102, Laws of Florida, is

12  repealed.

13         Section 2.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a

14  law.

17                          SENATE SUMMARY

18    Repeals the limited exemption granted to certain owners,
      registrants, operators, and occupants of motor vehicles
19    from tort liability for damages that are otherwise the
      subject of personal injury protection coverage.
