  2         An act relating to rulemaking authority of the

  3         Agency for Health Care Administration (RAB);

  4         amending s. 440.134, F.S.; directing the agency

  5         to adopt rules relating to workers'

  6         compensation managed care arrangements;

  7         providing an effective date.

  9  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

10

11         Section 1.  Subsection (25) is added to section

12  440.134, Florida Statutes, to read:

13         440.134  Workers' compensation managed care

14  arrangement.--

15         (25)  The agency shall adopt rules that specify:

16         (a)  Procedures for authorization and examination of

17  workers' compensation managed-care arrangements by the agency.

18         (b)  Requirements and procedures for authorization of

19  workers' compensation arrangement provider networks and

20  procedures for the agency to grant exceptions from

21  accessibility of services.

22         (c)  Requirements and procedures for case management,

23  utilization management, and peer review.

24         (d)  Requirements and procedures for quality assurance

25  and medical records.

26         (e)  Requirements and procedures for dispute

27  resolution.

28         (f)  Requirements and procedures for employee and

29  provider education.
