14 On page 87, between lines 14 & 15 of the bill

16 insert:
17 Section 82. On or before December 31, 1998, the
18 Department of Elderly Affairs shall design, establish and
19 implement a self-funded, long-term care plan to be included in
20 the state group insurance program for active, retired, and
21 deceased state, local, and, to the extent allowable under
22 federal law, federal officers and employees, and their
23 respective spouses, children, stepchildren, parents, and
24 parents-in-law. The Department of Elderly Affairs shall
25 determine whether the plan shall be funded on a pre-tax or
26 post-tax contribution basis. Consistent with the selection
27 criteria established in paragraphs (3)(e) and (5)(c) of s.
28 110.123 for the division, the Department of Elderly Affairs
29 shall contract with a professional administrator to implement
30 and market the plan.
