COMMITTEE SUBSTITUTE FOR
2 Senate Bill 1380
3
4 The CS for SB 1380 changes the bill in three ways:
5 It limits the ability to create a charter conversion municipal
subdistrict to a municipality or municipalities "with a total
6 population of more than 25,000 residents";
7 It changes the phrase "operated" by a municipally appointed
charter school board to "governed" by a municipally appointed
8 charter school board; and
9 It requires that a request for a charter municipal subdistrict
be "approved by the district school board pursuant to s.
10 228.056, F.S."
