1 A bill to be entitled
2 An act relating to the City of North
3 Lauderdale, Broward County; extending and
4 enlarging the corporate limits of the City of
5 North Lauderdale to include specified
6 unincorporated lands within said corporate
7 limits; providing for compliance with ch.
8 96-542, Laws of Florida, relating to Broward
9 County and annexations conducted in accordance
10 with s. 171.0413, F.S.; providing an effective
11 date.

13 WHEREAS, pursuant to chapter 171, Florida Statutes,
14 certain property will be annexed into the City of North
15 Lauderdale on October 1, 1997, such property being described
16 in section 1 and hereinafter referred to as "Properties," and
17 WHEREAS, the owners of these Properties have expressed
18 a strong desire to be annexed into the City of North
19 Lauderdale, and
20 WHEREAS, the City of North Lauderdale is agreeable to
21 expanding its corporate boundaries and to assuming the duties,
22 powers, and responsibilities with regard to these Properties,
23 NOW, THEREFORE,

25 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

27 Section 1. The present corporate limits of the City of
28 North Lauderdale, Broward County, are hereby extended and
29 enlarged so as to include, in addition to the territory
30 presently within its corporate limits, the area particularly
31 described as follows:

2 A portion of the Fort Lauderdale Truck Farms
3 Subdivision of Sections 1, 2, 10, 11, and 12,
4 Township 49 South, Range 41 East according to
5 the plat thereof as recorded in Plat Book 4,
6 Page 31 of the Public Records of Broward
7 County, Florida, being more particularly
8 described as follows:

10 Commence at the Northwest corner of Section 11,
11 Township 49 South, Range 41 East (hereinafter
12 Section 11-49-41): thence Easterly along the
13 North line of Section 11-49-41 to a point
14 located 25 feet Easterly from the Northwest
15 corner of Section 11-49-41; thence Southerly
16 along a line parallel to and 25 feet Easterly
17 from the West line of Section 11-49-41, as
18 measured at right angles thereto, for a
19 distance of 1747.82 feet to a point on which is
20 the point of beginning of the description of
21 the parcel.

23 Commence at the point of beginning; thence
24 Easterly on a course North 88°33'40" East a
25 distance of 46.76 feet to a point of curvature;
26 thence Easterly along the arc of a circular
27 curve to the right having radius of 60.0 feet,
28 an arc distance of 47.32 feet to a point;
29 thence Southeasterly on a course South
30 46°15'08" East, a distance of 227.90 feet;
31 thence Northeasterly on a course North

1 43°44'52" East, a distance of 812.68 feet to a
2 point of curvature; thence Easterly along the
3 arc of a circular curve to the right, having a
4 radius of 60.0 feet, an arc distance of 46.83
5 feet to a point; thence Northerly on a course
6 North 01°32'06" West, a distance of 36.00 feet;
7 thence Westerly on a course South 88°27'54"
8 West, a distance of 13.85 feet to an
9 intersection with the arc of a circular curve
10 to the right, having a radius of 60.0 feet and
11 an arc distance of 47.23 feet to a point;
12 thence Northwesterly on a course North
13 46°26'20" West, a distance of 785.68 feet;
14 thence Southwesterly on a course South
15 43°33'40" West, a distance of 236.69 feet to a
16 point of curvature; thence Westerly along the
17 arc of a circular curve to the right, having a
18 radius of 60.0 feet, an arc distance of 47.12
19 feet to a point; thence Westerly on a course of
20 South 88°34'40" West, a distance of 46.87 feet,
21 to a point located 25 feet Easterly of the West
22 line of Section 11-49-41, as measured at right
23 angles to said West line; thence Southerly
24 along a line parallel to and 25 feet Easterly
25 from said line, as measured at right angles
26 thereto, a distance of 835 feet, more or less,
27 to the point of beginning.

29 Section 2. This annexation is consistent with and
30 meets the requirements of chapter 171, Florida Statutes, and
31 the specific requirements imposed pursuant to chapter 96-542,

1 Laws of Florida, affecting annexation of unincorporated
2 property located within Broward County.
3 Section 3. This act shall take effect upon becoming a
4 law.
