  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to the City of Deerfield Beach,

  3         Broward County; extending and enlarging the

  4         corporate limits of the City of Deerfield Beach

  5         to include specified unincorporated lands

  6         within said corporate limits; providing an

  7         effective date.

  9  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

11         Section 1.  The present corporate limits of the City of

12  Deerfield Beach, Broward County, are hereby extended and

13  enlarged so as to include, in addition to the territory

14  presently within its corporate limits, the following property:

16         All that part of THE LAKES, according to the

17         plat thereof, recorded in Plat Book 109, Page

18         9, of the Public Records of Broward County,

19         Florida, described as follows:

20

21         BEGINNING at the Northwest corner of the lands

22         platted as THE LAKES, said corner being the

23         Northwest corner of the South 3/4 of the East

24         3/4 of the North 1/2 of the Southeast 1/4 of

25         Section 10, Township 48 South, Range 42 East,

26         Broward County, Florida; thence S02°54'12"W

27         along the West line of the lands platted as THE

28         LAKES, being the Centerline of N.W. 13th

29         Avenue, according to the said plat of THE

30         LAKES, 1707.54 feet; thence S88°16'03"E along

31         the Centerline of Green Road (N.W. 49th Court)

  5         thence N02°53'53"E 187.12 feet; thence

  8         thence N37°54'12"E 271.27 feet; thence

13         platted as THE LAKES 1041.61 feet to the POINT

14         OF BEGINNING.

16         Said lands include Clusters 16 through 42, both

17         inclusive of THE LAKES.  Containing 27.50

18         acres.

20         Section 2.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a

21  law.
