13         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 

14         On page 12, after line 31,

16  insert:

17         Section 8.  Paragraph (b) of subsection (4) of section

18  320.06, Florida Statutes is amended to read:

19         320.06  Registration certificates, license plates, and

20  validation stickers generally.--

21         (4)

22         (b)  For the purposes of authorizing the corporation

23  organized pursuant to chapter 946 to manufacture license

24  plates and validation stickers, as well as temporary tags,

25  disabled hang tags, vessel decals, and fuel use decals, for

26  the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles. as

27  provided in this chapter, The reference to the Department of

28  Corrections in paragraph (a) means the Department of

29  Corrections or the corporation organized pursuant to chapter

30  946, and the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles

31  is not required to obtain competitive bids in order to
