2 An act relating to Hillsborough County;
3 authorizing the Division of Alcoholic Beverages
4 and Tobacco of the Department of Business and
5 Professional Regulation to issue an alcoholic
6 beverage license to the Museum of Science and
7 Industry Foundation, Inc., for use at the
8 present location of the Museum of Science and
9 Industry for special events only; providing for
10 payment of the license fee; providing for sale
11 of beverages for consumption on premises;
12 prohibiting sales for consumption off premises;
13 providing for transfer of the license;
14 providing an effective date.

16 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

18 Section 1. The Division of Alcoholic Beverages and
19 Tobacco of the Department of Business and Professional
20 Regulation is authorized, upon application, to issue an
21 alcoholic beverage license in accordance with section 561.17,
22 Florida Statutes, to the Museum of Science and Industry
23 Foundation, Inc., (referred to in this act as the foundation),
24 a corporation not for profit, located at 4801 East Fowler
25 Avenue, Tampa, Florida, for use by the foundation on the
26 premises of the Museum of Science and Industry (referred to in
27 this act as MOSI), located at 4801 E. Fowler Avenue, Tampa,
28 Florida. The foundation shall pay the applicable license fee
29 provided in section 565.02, Florida Statutes. The license may
30 be used for special events only.

1 Section 2. Alcoholic beverages may be sold by the
2 licensee for consumption on the premises of MOSI. The license
3 issued pursuant to this act may not permit the sale of
4 alcoholic beverages in sealed containers for consumption off
5 the premises of MOSI. This act does not prevent a purchaser of
6 alcoholic beverages from removing an opened, partially
7 consumed container of alcoholic beverages from the premises of
8 MOSI.
9 Section 3. The foundation may transfer the license
10 from time to time to qualified applicants who are either
11 authorized by or under contract with the foundation to provide
12 food services at MOSI. Upon termination of a transferee's
13 authorization or contract, the license automatically reverts
14 by operation of law to the foundation.
15 Section 4. This act shall take effect upon becoming a
16 law.
